How long of a session should I book?

We offer 60 and 90 minute sessions. Most people start with an hour massage. That’s enough time to cover the entire body. With 90 minutes there is plenty of time to have a full body massage, with extra time to focus on problem areas.

What happens during a session?

If this is your first visit, please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a health form. We will then take you to your private treatment room and explain how the service will begin. We will leave the room to allow you time to get comfortable under a towel or sheet. During your service, you will be professionally draped at all times. After the service, we will leave the room again to allow you privacy to get dressed.

What should I wear to a session?

You don’t need to wear anything during your service, but some are more comfortable leaving their undergarments on, or wearing a bathing suit during their body treatment. Dress down to your comfort level.

How often should I get a massage?

We recommend getting a massage at least once a month for maintenance and self-care. Any less than that is a nice treat, but you don’t get to experience the benefits of regular massage. We often have clients come in weekly, then every two weeks until we get a problem under control. It really depends on your goals and your budget.

How will I feel after a massage?

Most clients feel relaxed and ready for a nap. Others feel energized. Depending on what type of work we did and the amount of pressure, some muscles may feel sore for a short period of time, similar to a hard work out. Please speak up and let us know if we are using too much pressure for your comfort level.

What are the requirements for practicing massage in the state of Washington?

They must also pass their Massage Board Licensing Exam (MBLX), have current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification, and have completed a 4 hour HIV/AIDS education course.
